Inside-out Stuffed Green Bell Peppers

Total Time: 1 hr 25 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped (or several green peppers, suite your own taste)
  • 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 ounces shredded cheese (or more to suite your taste)

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet, brown beef. drain.
  • 2 transfer to a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  • 3 add the next 8 ingredients.
  • 4 cover and bake at 350°f for 1 hour or until rice is tender.
  • 5 uncover and sprinkle with the cheese.
  • 6 return to the oven until cheese melts, about 5 minutes.
