Farfalle With Tomato-cheese Sauce

Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 5 ounces feta cheese (cut into small cubes or crumbled)
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 10 fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
- 20 ounces farfalle pasta
Recipe
- 1 pour olive oil in a pan and heat it. when the oil begins to sizzle, add the garlic. cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- 2 add the crushed tomatoes, salt, and sugar and stir again. add crumbled/chopped feta to the sauce. stir and cook over medium-low heat for about 18 minutes.
- 3 add the basil and cook for about 2 more minutes.
- 4 meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. drain the pasta, plate the pasta, and pour sauce on top of each serving. sprinkle with parmesan cheese, if desired.
