Homemade Granola

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 cups quick oats
  • 1 cup sliced almonds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat your oven to 300.
  • 2 spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • 3 mix oats, nuts, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • 4 combine honey, oil, and sugar in small saucepan over medium heat until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  • 5 remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • 6 pour over oat mixture, stir well.
  • 7 spread onto sheet and bake 30 mins or until golden. stir occasionally, every 5 mins or so, to avoid burn spots.
  • 8 let cool for 15-20 mins and break up. store in an airtight container.
