Italian Sausage And Rice

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 5 1/4 cups canned tomatoes, italian ready cut (i used s&w diced with garlic, oregano & basil)
  • 3/4 lb turkey sausage, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth (i used swanson with less sodium)
  • 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 cups brown rice (cook according to pkg dir.)

Recipe

  • 1 cook the rice according to package directions.
  • 2 in a large skillet saute the turkey sausage.
  • 3 add the tomoatoes, broth and pepper.
  • 4 stir in the rice, cover and cook on low heat for 5-8 minutes.
  • 5 stir the rice until all liquid is absorbed.
