Cuban Black Bean Soup

Total Time: 7 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 7 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups dried black beans
  • 2 quarts water
  • 3 cups medium onions, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 -5 drops hot pepper sauce
  • 1 large green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • rice, for serving

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients except salt, pepper and rice in slow cooker; cover and cook on low 7-8 hours.
  • 2 season to taste with salt and pepper. serve over rice.
