Fettuccine With Cream Nutmeg Sauce

Ingredients

- 1 lb fettuccine pasta
- 1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup wine
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons chopped italian parsley
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 cook the fettucine in boiling salted water until just cooked or al dente (until somewhat firm texture is reached).
- 2 drain well.
- 3 melt the butter in a large skillet.
- 4 saute the garlic for 1-2 minutes over very low heat.
- 5 add wine to butter& garlic.
- 6 simmer for 5 minutes.
- 7 add the sour cream, whipping cream, nutmeg and italian parsley.
- 8 heat cream and sour cream mixture until very hot but not boiling.
- 9 add parmesan cheese.
- 10 season to taste with salt& pepper.
- 11 pour hot sauce over hot fettucine and toss.
- 12 sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, if desired.
- 13 serve immediately.
