Granola

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 5 cups old fashioned oats
  • 5 teaspoons cinnamon (yes 5!)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (dark brown is best, but light brown works too)

Recipe

  • 1 mix together oats, cinnamon, salt and pecans and set aside.
  • 2 melt together oil, honey and brown sugar. do not bring to boil, just heat until sugar is melted.
  • 3 pour over dry ingredients and mix well.
  • 4 spread evenly on cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 10-12 min
  • 5 remove from oven and allow to cool completely before breaking apart.
  • 6 can add raisins after cooling. golden raisins are the best.
