Favorite Stuffed Manicotti

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans italian tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (15 ounce) carton ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 12 manicotti, cooked
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 brown sausage in large saucepan, drain.
  • 2 take half of sausage, put in large bowl and put aside.
  • 3 stir tomato sauce, paste, and water into sausage in pan.
  • 4 simmer 15 minute.
  • 5 meanwhile, to the sausage in bowl, add ricotta, 2 cups mozzarella, egg and parsley.
  • 6 pour 1/3 sauce mixture into 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • 7 stuff manicotti with ricotta mixture and place on top of sauce in baking pan.
  • 8 pour remaining sauce over stuffed manicotti, top with remaining mozzarella and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • 9 bake at 350°f for 20 minutes or until hot all through.
