Crunchy And Light Waffles For Two

Total Time: 12 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 2 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 heat a waffle iron.
  • 2 mix the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar using a whisk to combine well.
  • 3 meanwhile, melt the butter in the microwave.
  • 4 beat the egg yolk with a fork till fluffy, then add the milk and butter to mix.
  • 5 combine the milk mixture with the dry ingredients.
  • 6 using a hand mixer, beat the egg to stiff peaks.
  • 7 carefully fold the egg whites into the batter (a plastic scraper works well for this).
  • 8 cook immediately on iron.
