General Tso's Lamb

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 lb lamb (serving size)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 stalks green onions (chop about 2 inches)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons gingerroot (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar (marukan)
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cooking rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 sauce:.
  • 2 *mix all ingredients, then set aside.
  • 3 1. put salt and pepper on lamb.
  • 4 2. add egg, mix.
  • 5 3. drench lamb in flour. (usually put flour on a ziplock bag, then add lamb, then shake bag 'til lamb is evenly coated).
  • 6 4. deep fry lamb, set aside.
  • 7 5. on the same pan, saute garlic, ginger, and green onion.
  • 8 6. then, add deep fried lamb.
  • 9 7. add. sauce, and simmer til sauce thickens.
  • 10 8. then serve with steamed rice.
