Granmary's Great Granola Bars & Bites

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups crispy rice cereal (the kind that goes "snap, crackle, pop")
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 cup corn syrup
- 1/8 cup honey
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 mix the cereal, oats, and raisins in a mixing bowl and set aside.
- 2 in a small pot on the stove, stir together the brown sugar, corn syrup, and honey over medium to medium-high heat and bring to a rolling boil.
- 3 continue to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- 4 remove from heat and blend in the peanut butter and vanilla.
- 5 pour over the cereal/oat/raisin mixture and combine.
- 6 at this point, you can roll into 1/2 inch spheres to make granola bites, or press into a small square or rectangular dish to form bars.
- 7 store tightly covered.
