Granny Cake 2

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 mix first 5 cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl. pour into a 9/12 greased glass cake pan.
- 2 mix pecans and brown sugar and sprinkle over top of batter.
- 3 bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. don't overbake.
- 4 while cake is cooling, in heavy saucepan heat all topping ingredients to a rolling boil. boil for 1 minute then pour over the top of cooled cake in cake pan. (this will look like a mess, but the cake soaks up the liquid and makes a frosting.).
- 5 store in refrigerator covered.
