Fat Free Banana Granola Bars

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 18
  • 1/2 cup smuckers baking healthy oil & shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup flax seed meal (adds fat) (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups puffed rice cereal
  • 2 bananas

Recipe

  • 1 place baking healthy, vanilla, and egg whites in mixer.
  • 2 beat on medium speed until slightly frothy.
  • 3 add sugar on medium speed.
  • 4 add cinnamon, salt, and honey.
  • 5 add baking soda.
  • 6 slowly add flour on low speed.
  • 7 add oats, flaxmeal and banana on low speed.
  • 8 finally fold in rice krispies.
  • 9 place in 13 x 11 pyrex that has been treated with no stick spray.
  • 10 bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
