Harvest Paella With Shrimp

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 6 1/8 ounces , near east original rice pilaf
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 8 ounces medium shrimp, peeled and devined
- 1 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 -2 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
Recipe
- 1 in a 3 quart saucepan, bring water just to a boil. stir in rice, contents of the spice sack, olive oil, turmeric, and hot pepper sauce.
- 2 cover and reduce heat to low. simmer 10 minutes.
- 3 stir in shrimp. cover and simmer 15 minutes more.
- 4 stir in beans, peas, tomato and basil. cook 5 more minutes until heated through.
