Fettuccine With Mascarpone And Basil

Ingredients

- 1 lb fresh fettuccine
- 3/4 cup heavy cream, room temperature
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2/3 cup packed fresh basil leaf, washed well, spun dry, and sliced thin
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Recipe
- 1 boil pasta in plenty of boiling, salted water until al dente.
- 2 while it is boiling, rinse a heatproof serving bowl under hot water to warm it and dry bowl.
- 3 in warm bowl, whisk together cream, cheeses, basil, nutmeg, pepper and salt to taste.
- 4 drain cooked pasta and add to bowl with the sauce.
- 5 toss well.
- 6 serve immediately.
