Fettuccine With Bacon Clam Sauce

Ingredients

- 8 ounces uncooked fettuccine
- 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans chopped clams
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Recipe
- 1 cook fettuccine according to package directions.
- 2 meanwhile, drain clams, reserving 1/2 cup juice.
- 3 in a large saucepan, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, pepper, clams and reserved juice. bring to a boil.
- 4 reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
- 5 stir in the cream and parmesan cheese; simmer 2-3 minutes longer or until heated through.
