Fettuccine With Bacon Clam Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 ounces uncooked fettuccine
  • 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans chopped clams
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Recipe

  • 1 cook fettuccine according to package directions.
  • 2 meanwhile, drain clams, reserving 1/2 cup juice.
  • 3 in a large saucepan, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, pepper, clams and reserved juice. bring to a boil.
  • 4 reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  • 5 stir in the cream and parmesan cheese; simmer 2-3 minutes longer or until heated through.
