Fettuccine With Basil-tomato Sauce

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lbs tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown rice syrup
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons basil, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon italian parsley, minced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (about 2 tsp.)
  • 1 lb fettuccine
  • 6 basil sprigs, for garnish

Recipe

  • 1 combine tomatoes, rice syrup, vinegar, basil, chives, parsley, and garlic in large serving bowl. season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • 2 cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  • 3 toss pasta with sauce. season to taste with salt and lots of freshly ground black pepper. garnish with basil sprigs, and serve.
