Island Spam

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (12 ounce) can spam, classic cut into cubes
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 bay leaf, finely crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 dash ground red pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in large skillet, lightly brown spam, onion, and garlic.
  • 2 stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 3 bring to a boil.
  • 4 reduce heat and simmer, covered, 15 minutes.
  • 5 sprinkle with red pepper before serving.
