Hashwa Roz Wa Jowz (rice-nut Mixture)

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, minced

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in saucepan and brown pine nuts, being careful to not burn.
  • 2 add rice and stir for 2 minutes. add water.
  • 3 add cinnamon, salt and pepper.
  • 4 bring to a boil. cover and reduce heat. simmer for 15 minutes or until liquid has evaporated.
  • 5 add parsley and mix well.
