Healthy Multigrain Protein Waffles

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats or 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 3 tablespoons sugar or 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds (optional)
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 6 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup reduced-fat milk
Recipe
- 1 mix the dry ingredients well in a large bowl.
- 2 mix the wet ingredients well in a medium sized bowl.
- 3 add the wet ingredients to the dry, mix until just combined.
- 4 grease pre-heated waffle iron.
- 5 spoon 1/2 cup of batter into waffle iron at a time to cook.
