Low Fat Cranberry Chocolate Chip Granola Bars

Total Time: 28 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (quick or old fashioned)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ, toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup dried sweetened cranberries
  • 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips, divided

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 300 degrees farenheit.
  • 2 spray an 8" square pan with cooking oil spray or coat sides and bottom of pan with canola oil.
  • 3 in a large bowl, combine oats, flour, wheat germ, and cinnamon.
  • 4 stir in honey until dry ingredients are well coated.
  • 5 stir in dried cranberries and 1/3 cup of the chocolate chips.
  • 6 pat mixture into oiled pan.
  • 7 top mixture with remaining 1/3 cup of chocolate chips.
  • 8 bake for 18 - 20 minutes or until top is golden.
  • 9 cool in pan, then cut into squares.
