High Octane Buckwheat Pancakes

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 6 tablespoons toasted wheat germ
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nu salt
  • 1 1/3 cups rice milk
  • 1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat groats

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl combine the first six ingriedients.
  • 2 in another bowl combine the milk, yogurt, and oil.
  • 3 stir into dry ingriendients until just moistened.
  • 4 pour batter by 1/3 cup spoonfuls into a hot nonstick griddle.
  • 5 turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes.
  • 6 cook until second side is golden brown.
