Greek Macaroni Bake

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3/4 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 16 ounces elbow macaroni

Recipe

  • 1 brown beef and onions. drain fat. stir in next 3 ingredients. set aside.
  • 2 in med. saucepan, combine next 2 ingredients. gradually stir in milk. cook and stir over med. heat until mixture thickens (do not boil).
  • 3 beat next 3 ingredients. gradually stir in sauce. add macaroni. spoon 1/2 macaroni mixture into 2-quart casserole dish. cover with meat mixture and top with remaining macaroni.
  • 4 bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
