Highlanders

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces plain flour
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 2 ounces caster sugar
  • 2 ounces rice flour
  • milk
  • demerara sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cream the caster sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  • 2 ad the flour and ground rice and mix well, finally using the hands to bind he mixture.
  • 3 roll into a thick sausage.
  • 4 brush with milk and roll in demerara sugar.
  • 5 cut into slices.
  • 6 bake at 190°c 375°f gas mark 5 for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
