Kateh - Iranian Simple Rice

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 cups basmati rice or 3 cups long-grain rice
  • salt
  • 4 tablespoons cooking oil

Recipe

  • 1 wash three cups of rice with plain water twice and drain the water.
  • 2 pour rice into a non-stick pan.
  • 3 add five cups of water, four spoons of oil and salt, and mix.
  • 4 bring the water to a boil over high temperature.
  • 5 let the water boil until water level sinks to just below rice level.
