Kateh - Iranian Simple Rice

Ingredients

- 3 cups basmati rice or 3 cups long-grain rice
- salt
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
Recipe
- 1 wash three cups of rice with plain water twice and drain the water.
- 2 pour rice into a non-stick pan.
- 3 add five cups of water, four spoons of oil and salt, and mix.
- 4 bring the water to a boil over high temperature.
- 5 let the water boil until water level sinks to just below rice level.
- 6 cover the pan, and cook over low temperature for about half an hour.
