Green Tea Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sake
  • 1 large shallot, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green tea leaves
  • 2 tablespoons mirin (rice wine)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces

Recipe

  • 1 combine sake and next 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • 2 cook 5 to 6 minutes or until reduced by half. remove from heat. whisk in butter. strain before serving.
